The Magic of Dandelion Chicory ‘Coffee’
No matter how conscientious we are to our health and lifestyle habits, our bodies move to the cycles of nature, which means that our cells mirror nature like leaves falling from a tree before they can regenerate and be renewed. Every day we clean our bodies and remove the buildup from the exposure to our environment, we can also say we need to clean our bodies from the inside out. Enter an ancient practice followed by many wise traditions. Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine offer the best practices by enhancing the body’s ability to detoxify during seasonal transitions like Winter into Spring.
Dandelion Chicory Tea is a safe do no harm daily practice anyone can enjoy to promote liver health. Preliminary studies suggest this is due, in part, to its ability to increase the flow of bile. Naturopaths believe it means that dandelion root tea could help detoxify the liver, help with skin and eye problems, and relieve symptoms of liver disease.
Remember:
Your liver influences your metabolism (sluggish, congested liver means SLOW metabolism)…
Your liver impacts your gut health and probiotics (candida, parasites and other gut issues are worsened with a toxic liver)…
Your liver determines the quality of your digestion (a “fatty” or congested liver is unable to secrete bile or properly digest foods)…
The health of your liver even shows up on your face, in terms of undereye circles… crow’s fit… liver spots, acne, blackheads, and other issues…Bottom line: if you want the best possible health and to support your body’s transformation this Spring and Summer, I have a few colorful, nutrient-dense recipes to support liver detoxification.
